@scoar87 - I agree with Arkku, that you may have an alignment problem. Depending on the model of camera, different viewfinders show a different percentage of the actual frame. P & S, and older rangefinder cameras were notorious for chopping hands and feet, unless you left some room around the frame to ensure you got the whole image. Good rule of thumb is to not try to crop perfectly with the lens, and leave a little extra around the outside. Leave the cropping for the computer or darkroom.

A full frame lens on a c sensor camera should have nothing to do with chopping off hands or feet. When you look through the viewfinder on a c sensor camera, you should be seeing what the lens sees approx. Inside the camera, the rear glass element of a full frame lens is going to cover beyond the c sensor inside, and thus this won't even show up. While a c sensor lens, is just covering the c sensor only. Only when you reverse this by putting a c sensor lens on a full frame will things get chopped.
